Alzheimer Society of Manitoba

The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba exists so all Manitobans affected by dementia receive the help they need today and have hope for the future. RTAM partners with ASM to provide workshops and seminars for our members on mental health and dementia. Members can book presentations for their Chapter or community group through RTAM.

As a province-wide organization, the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba seeks to achieve its mission through community awareness; individual, family and professional education; support programs and research funding.

Available Benefits

Thanks to our ongoing work through the Manitoba Seniors Coalition, RTAM has formed a partnership with ASM to help deliver information, online seminars and supports to our community of retired teachers.

ASM’s helpful team can inform and support those going through changes related to dementia. Their website highlights a variety of resources, programs and services for individuals and families in different stages of their respective journeys.

To further assist in helping create a comfortable learning environment and safe place to ask questions, RTAM has committed to running free online webinars with ASM every six months. Each presentation focuses on a unique topic and allows members to ask questions of the presenters and ASM staff at the end of the webinar.
