Beth Smith, Director

  • Graduated from the University of NB, Fredericton Campus, 1983.
  • Started my teaching career in Leaf Rapids, MB, January 1984, teaching grade 7 – 12 Home Economics.
  • After 6 1/2 years I relocated to Winnipegosis, MB where I taught Home Economics and finished a M. Ed in Guidance and Counselling.
  • After 16 years relocated to Dauphin, MB to facilitate the Mature Student Diploma Program.
  • After 30 years, retired in June 2013.
  • Have been a member of DARTA (Dauphin Area Retired Teachers’ Association) since 2013.
  • Have been on the RTAM Board since November 2014.
  • Have had various RTAM Committee responsibilities; Bylaws & Policy Committee, Membership & Chapters Committee, KIT Editorial, Student Awards Committee and RTAM representative for the MTS 100th Anniversary Committee.
